Born May 20, 1949 in Kiev. Mother – Galina M., a teacher by profession, has gone from Pioneer to the chief of Pechersk district department of education. Wife – Marina, historian, graduated from Kyiv University, head of the department works in the museum of the Great Patriotic War. Son – Alexander graduated from the Faculty of Cybernetics, Kiev University, a specialist IT company METRO Cash & Carry. Grandson – Ivan student.
In 1966, after the Physics and Mathematics Boarding entered the Kiev University, faculty of cybernetics which he graduated in 1971. Since that time in teaching, assistant, senior lecturer (1982), associate professor (1988). In 1980 he defended his thesis under the guidance of Academician Glushkov. Since November 2008 – Deputy Rector of Kyiv National Taras Shevchenko University on educational work.
Over 35 years in the Kyiv National Taras Shevchenko University lecturer and researcher in computer science and information technology. Supervised major educational and scientific projects. Has more than 60 scientific and methodological publications prepared 3 candidates.
He took part in the execution of many research projects in the field of information technology, funded UN, Council of Europe, the World Bank, the Kyiv City Administration, the Ministry of Defence.
Teaching and research work combined with administrative. He was elected secretary of the Komsomol University (1975-77), was appointed deputy dean (1982-1989), Chief Information Centre of the University (1991-1999).
